Western Healthcare Insurance Trust

The Western Healthcare Insurance Trust (WHIT), previously known as Washington Hospitals Insurance Trust, was established in 1972. It is an employee welfare benefit plan and also considered a multiple employee welfare arrangement (MEWA) under ERISA. The Trust serves hospitals and other health-care related entities across the Pacific Northwest..

Western Healthcare Insurance Trust
WHIT was established to provide unique and cost effective employee benefit plans to its members. This continues to be the criteria we use when evaluating new products and/or carriers. The products in WHIT must provide something the hospitals and healthcare related groups cannot obtain on their own.
Western Healthcare Insurance Trust
Public and private hospitals located in the Pacific Northwest are eligible for participation in the Trust, as well as other employers in the healthcare industry with a minimum of ten employees. All participating groups must submit an executed Subscription Agreement for approval by the WHIT Board of Trustees prior to the effective date of coverage.

WHIT and DiMartino Associates, Inc. are happy to work with participating groups' benefits consultants and/or insurance brokers. Please have your representative contact us for further information.
